The Under 11B team played a great game of netball against @beaulieuschool B on Monday. Both teams played some great netball, but it was St Michael’s who took the win 6-4.

On Thursday the Year 7A netball team played against Haute Vallée School 8A. It was a good game of netball, but after the second third it was St Michael’s who began to pull away, converting their chances and taking the win 14-5.

We are so incredibly proud of one of our Year 7 pupils. She swam in the 43rd Jersey Open meet during half term and gained 9 PBs and won a bronze medal in the 100m breaststroke.

She has also qualified for the 2025 Hampshire County championships for the 200m backstroke.

The St Michael's Christmas Sale is a long-standing tradition, which this year will held on Friday 6th December 2024.

It is the School's biggest charity fundraising event of the year and this year we are proud to be supporting @clicsargentjersey @healingwavesoceantherapy and @Make-A-Wish Jersey, Channel Islands, supporter group.

Your support is pivotal to the success of the sale and we would welcome donations of Raffle and Golden Ticket prizes, auction lots and sponsorship. In previous years, we have seen donations of holiday homes, sports tickets, experiences, vouchers (from oven cleaning to sports massage), theatre tickets, Ascot tickets, boat rides, and luxury hampers...to name just a few!

Members of the SMPA are now taking donations for the sale at morning drop off in the top carpark. Please don't just pass on your rubbish - think "is this something I would buy?"

We are looking for:

🎄Clean, good quality clothing and footwear, sports equipment, fancy dress and ski wear.

🎄Clean and usable toys in a sellable condition.

🎄Unused gifts and gift sets for adults and children.

🎄In-date bottles of wine and other drinks - our bottle stall needs 500 bottles - spirits, wine, fizz, soft drinks, beers, cider...all welcomed! (If each child could contribute 2 bottles each, we will reach the target very quickly!)

🎄Gift vouchers of any value.

🎄Hampers.

Please drop off any donations in the morning at the carpark.

This afternoon, St Michael’s welcomed netballers from Melrose Primary, Guernsey.

After a morning swim at The Merton, the visiting team joined us for a delicious lunch before taking to the court.

Our Years 5 and 6 girls had the opportunity to test their skills against new opponents, and they rose to the challenge!

The matches were a showcase of high-quality netball, with accurate shooting, precise passing, and impressive defensive displays.

Everyone had a fantastic, fun-filled afternoon with plenty of netball played.

Thank you to Melrose for visiting and safe travels back to Guernsey.

As part of our Festival of Change, kindly sponsored by @rathbonesplc, we welcomed Nick Perchard-Rees, CEO at @evieondemand to talk to our Shell pupils about the future of travel.

Nick brought up one of their new A2B cars and the pupils had the opportunity to learn about the technology of the car.

The little green car will be positioned on the top car park all week and Evie has kindly offered parents / guardians a special offer to try the cars at a reduced rate.
